The property changed hands several times until Commander Robert Wigmore purchased this property in the 1970s and used it as a rental property.
In 1982, the current owner acquired the property and in 1991, decided to do an extensive renovation and opened the Seawinds Motel.
Located in Annapolis Basin, in the town of Digby, this home was built by a Sea Captain. During World War II, the property became home for Canadian Navy officers stationed at CFB Cornwallis. When the war ended, the owner decided to convert the property to accommodate the tourist industry, naming it "The Tea Cup Inn and Cabins".
